KutKut
Gagarin Project is an autonomous and self-sustaining community that integrates locals, stakeholder institutions, co-investors, and global specialists. The team at Gagarin entrusted us with the task of crafting a brand identity option for their high quality products, made from whole grains, and created within the community, for the community. Our chosen brand name, “Kut-Kut,” is a play on the Armenian word “Kut,” which translates to grain. The logo design features an antique Armenian millstone grinder known as “Erkank,” where each stone bears the word “Kut.” The packaging displays the vision for the picturesque plantations of Gagarin Valley, with each hue symbolizing a distinct crop. The vision provided by MVRDV for the colorful valley paints the picture for what Gagarin will be like in a few years time and we tried to display that vision in our packaging. For the inaugural product, cookies, we incorporated a map of the valley on the packaging, which will be replicated across the entire product range.
